Mission Beach
Getting up to walk into town for 7:20am bus is not fun, but we managed it. We are now safley in mission beach. There isnt really very much to do, especially today since its totally overcast and a bit nippy out. We have been chilling out on the sofa outside our dorm reading and doing very little, whihc is always nice. We are nearly completly out of books betweens us though.
Yesterday we got taken to a croc farm by the bus company. It was awesome, they came onto the bus as soon as we parked and threw a baby crocs on a girls lap. We got to feed the kangaroos, and watch while they fed all the big crocs they have. Gregory is the biggest croc in captivity any where. Hes about 5.5meters long and fooking massive, and the owner mad mik sat on him :s
We also got a chance to see some cassowarys and lots of different kinds of snakes (pictures going up soon) ooh and we ate crocodile satay, very nice tastes a bit like squid.
Thats about all there is to report, we are getting the bus to Townsvile and then magnetic island tomorrow.
Love
Steff & Rach
p.s. not impressed by the amount of comments being left. simply not good enough.

I didn’t see any pictures of you wrestling crocs or boxing kangaroos. And let’s see you rotate the pictures, I get a crick in the neck here.
And comments? It just makes me jealous so I shut up :-P… but I HAVE seen the final Doctor Who episode.
we’ve found out which pet opens the bedroom doors - it’s ninja! caught red-pawed…at full stretch he pushes down on the handle, leans on the door and then falls into the room.
nana went to luton and got someone to show her your blog - she’s hooked - off to buy a laptop and join the ranks of the silver surfers.
your bus company sounds much more exciting than rainbow 5, but then i don’t think i’d want crocs thrown at me on my way to work.
off to do my own cleaning - s’pose i shall have to get usd to it
love mum
Hi Steff
Your Nana was very impressed with your blog and we printed it out for her up to and including 10th July. Visiting Southwell on 20th July so will see if she has joined the “Silver Surfers” by then.
When we were in Mission Beach, many years ago, the actual beach was closed due to some rather nasty jellyfish!
Enjoy Townsville
Regards & best wishes for the rest of your trip your trip
