Last comment before I lose my internet access! Cape Trib sounds great and just what you needed after Hong Kong. I remember those cassowary birds from the trek through the rainforest last time ... something about how important they were for the habitat as they drops seeds in a weird way???!!

I'm off to Heathrow today - with bags way over the weight limit (+12kg full of craft stuff) - hoping my team will take some of it! I've packed very few clothes which is a first for me! Love you lots. Mum K

I'd never heard of a cassowary so I had to look it up - they are really nasty, they disembowel stuff (inc. people) with their middle claws - stay well away from them! Looked up drop bears too - apparently they don't exist. Tales of drop bears are used to tease tourists and to scare small children so that they don't play under eucalyptus trees (because the branches have a habit of dropping off). This trip of yours is becoming quite educational.
Bet it's nice to be lazing on the beach instead of scrambling for a plane or bus. Steff - when you get the chance text a "happy birthday" to Nana.
love mum
